Staking our Food Security on Seed Banks?

Seed banks have been in the news lately due to a story about one in Syria that was evacuated as ISIS approached the area. The seeds were transferred to a place in northern Europe where other seeds from around the world are stored. The reason for seed banks is simple: To provide an emergency reserve that can be used to re-plant agricultural products in the event of a devastating catastrophe.

However, they may not work, and this is something that should have all of us worried.
