This video shows how to easily build a very inexpensive solar oven with a total cost around $7.50. Items needed: 2 cardboard boxes, black paint and a piece of glass. Some used newspaper will be used to insulate the oven. The cost of an optional swivel base is $5.00. This bad boy reaches high temperatures and cooks just about everything. Plexiglass or an oven roasting bag can be used instead of a piece of glass. Wool, rags, sheets of cardboard or even dry grass can be used instead of newspaper.
